Publication Series Design | University Course Project | Spring 2022
OVERVIEW
This series of four publications serves to reimagine the information in “Lesson 10: Herbalism” of Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland. The series includes subjects such as herbalism in Wiccan practice, historical importance, medicinal properties of herbs, modern applications, and recipes.
APPROACH
The goal of this series is to organize the sourced text in a way that is more intuitive and visually interesting, due to efficient and strategic typesetting. Application of a pastel color palette and simple, friendly graphics enhance the overall design by creating a space that is more engaging than the original. These elements will also help to make the topics discussed more accessible to the modern reader by combatting traditional stigmatized interpretations of Witchcraft that often incite darker themes.
